I’m going to have to disagree with the previous review of this product. They obviously have a large cat?? These treats are actually a bit too big for my Persians and I have to squash them so that the cats can get their teeth into them instead of just rolling them around and losing them. I would actually rate this product much higher except for several things. I rate it high because my cats ALL love them (8 cats), I rate it high on ingredients because it’s very difficult to find cat treats that aren’t just dry food in disguise complete with corn and wheat ingredients, and lastly, I would LOVE to rate these for effectiveness in keeping the teeth clean, but I just don’t know if they work worth a darn… it’s too early to tell. The product does not get top rating from me because of the high price for low quantity and for the difficulty my cats have in eating them without my intervention.
Rating: 3 / 5
To get my cat to eat a CET chew, I’d have to cut it in half and unwrap it. Petrodex chews are the right size and my cat doesn’t make me unwrap them.

This product is awful. They are so small your cat can swallow the entire thing in one gulp if he decides he wants to, which presents a huge choking hazard, along with wasting your money, because these dumb treats are expensive. They are no more than 3/4″ long and a little over half an inch in diameter. Pretty good size to get lodged in the throat.
Sometimes he’s not even interested in them, or he’ll take some tentative licks. The inside of the treats are powdery, grainy, and soft freeze-dried fish, and they are wrapped in some kind of thin papery-textured sheet that the cat is supposed to bite through. Sometimes the grainy inside just pops out of the covering and spills all over the place in crumbs, and he ignores the wrapper.
I’ve been giving my cat Greenies treats and brushing his teeth quite frequently, but I thought if I could get away with brushing his teeth a little less often it would save us both the agony and struggle of having to do so. DO NOT buy these treats, your cat is very likely to choke on them.
I may look for C.E.T. chews next, which at least according to the picture, look much bigger than these Petrodex ones. I might even end up getting the dog variety, which comes in a longer flattened strip shape. No choking hazard there. Though he still gets his teeth brushed frequently.
